DRRS OPEN HOUSE WEEKEND A GREAT SUCCESS What a wonderful job our Daniel Rothman Children did as they helped Rabbi Glazer at Shabbat Services on Friday, April 11! They sang, prayed, and welcomed their families to join them in prayer. All our visitors and friends helped the children celebrate our Open House Shabbat in true Kol Ami Style! Thanks to our great DRRS parents, we also had a delicious Oneg. It was a beautiful evening, one we will long remember. On Sunday, April 13, DRRS students, their families, and new friends of Kol Ami joined us for our first ever Walking Seder. The children and their parents walked through each step of the Seder and tasted, learned, and created new ways to celebrate Pesach. Again, our parents did a great job with the delicious Charoset recipes and all the other goodies that we tasted. We met many new families who joined in our Pesach fun. As May approaches, DRRS is getting ready to join in the celebration of Israel at 60. We have many projects and activities to help this be the best birthday that Israel has had so far. Our month begins with a trip to the Holocaust Museum by our 4-5-6-7-8 grade students and continues with exciting activities throughout the month. If you have not already registered your child/children for the 2008-2009 school year, please do it now. With all our registrations in before school ends this year, we will be better able to plan for next year. Todah Rabah to all our teachers and parents who made this month's activities so great. Chag Sameach! B'shalom Geveret Westenburger |
